EKPC Rebate Program for ENERGY STAR Manufactured Homes
Rebate Program
for ENERGY STAR Manufactured Homes
East Kentucky Power Cooperative's (EKPC) Service Area
East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) is now offering incentives for energy efficient manufactured homes sited in Kentucky. Home manufacturing plants can receive $1,200 and home retailers can receive $550 for each ENERGY STAR home certified on or after January 1, 2015. To be eligible, homes must be electrically heated, equipped with a heat pump and connected to electric service provided by any of the 16 East Kentucky Power Cooperative members listed below.
While the incentive goes to the manufactured home builder and retailer, the real beneficiary is the customer, who will realize thousands of dollars in savings over the life of the home. ENERGY STAR homes also are more comfortable, quieter, require less maintenance and are likely to have higher resale value.
To take advantage of the rebate, plants and retailers should contact SBRA at rebates@research-alliance.org for details.
